Psalm 31:2  "Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me."

What We Believe

•   The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the infallible inspired Word of God. II Tim. 3:16-17; II Pet. 1:20-21

There is one true and eternal (without beginning or ending) God. He exists in three distinct but co-equal persons: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. He created all things. Deut. 6:4; I Cor. 8:5-6; Eph. 4:4-6; Matt. 28:19; I Cor. 13:14; I Pet. 1:2

•   Man was created in the image of God. Through disobedience man sinned and became separated from God, and because of this, the entire human race shares in man’s lost and sinful nature. Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:23, 5:12; Gal. 3:22

•   Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth. Through His sacrificial death, He paid the penalty of sin for all of mankind. He was raised from the dead and ascended back into heaven. Is. 7:14, 53:5-11; Matt. 1:16, 23, 26:26-28; Luke 1:35; Rom. 3:25; Mark 16:1-18; Luke 24:1-51; Acts 1:9-11; Heb. 2:17, 7:21-8:6

•   God’s plan of salvation from the eternal punishment of sin is extended to each of us by grace alone and can be received through faith alone. One must acknowledge that he/she is a sinner through genuine repentance of (turning away from) your sins. This includes: recognition of, sorrow for, shame for, confession of, forsaking of, and hatred of your sin; belief that Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again; and acceptance of Him as your personal Lord and Savior. The saved individual is a child of God and a member of the church body of which Jesus is the Head. Rom. 3:21-31, 10:9-13; Eph. 2:1-10; I John 2:1-6

•   The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and convinces us of our need of Jesus Christ. He is our comforter who guides, directs and places the believer into the Body of Christ. He also indwells the believer and bestows spiritual gifts to the church. Through His work within us, we bear good fruit that is pleasing to God. John 15:26, 16:5-15; II Cor. 1:22; Eph. 1:13-14, 4:30; I Cor. 12; Gal. 5:22-23

•   The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all believers as an inheritance of His power for service, and follows, but is separate from, salvation. Matt. 3:11; Acts 1:3-8, 15-18, 2:1-4, 10:44-48, 19:1-7

•   There are two ordinances of the church given to believers by Christ. These are Water Baptism, by immersion as an outward expression of our death and rebirth, and the Lord’s Supper, in which we remember and celebrate together His death for us. Acts 2:38, 22:16; Rom. 6:1-11; I Cor. 11:23-26

• The completion of all things includes: the visible, personal, and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous for judgment, the eternal salvation of the believers and the eternal damnation and punishment of the nonbelievers, the millennial reign of Christ, and the creation of a new heaven and earth where we will dwell with God for all eternity. Matt. 24:27-31; Acts 1:9-11; I Thess. 4:16-18
